This bilingual (English/Polish) book presents results of research done as a part of the PRESOM Project by the team of scientists of the Poznan University of Economics. In the CEE Countries privatization has been a core component of their transformation from centrally planned to market economies that determines its peculiarity. On the base of Polish experience (with some references to other countries) the book examines methods, processes and fiscal effects of privatization in selected sectors (manufacturing, energetics, electronic communication and housing) and its consequences for economic performance and social order in pre- and post-accession periods.
